This is great, thank you! We'll add these to the event notes in our Unit
database.
And I want to add my total admiration for Jeff, who was a rock star,
batting down all difficulties and making this event a seemless reality.
I also want to acknowledge Paulette and all she has done to make this event
a success, including getting Jeff on-board to direct. I have to wonder, if
Paulette had not asked Jeff to direct...would we have had a director?.....
The last couple years has seen the Captain Team event be very rocky--due to
poor planning, poor communication and follow-through. Going forward, we
must do better at the Unit level, or else we jeopardize the good
relationship we have with Eastside. And this is true for anything we do
under the Unit's auspices at Eastside (and any other club). We've got to
do better.
I will be sending thank-yous to Yoko, Yayoi and Carole Schroeder (who did
not know she was a captain, and didn't want to be one). These ladies went
above and beyond.
Also to Judy Hess, who stepped up and helped with the set-up and clean-up.
I think she should be in for a free-play at our next sectional.
Thank you again, Jeff, Paulette, and to the board members who participate
(Bill, Ray, Susan). This was a fun event.
