Julie,

Perhaps you visit the Bridgewinners blog.  Perhaps you’ve seen the thread below containing pro & con viewpoints on the BOD restructure motion to be voted on in SF.  I subscribe to the view that reducing BOD size would contribute to the possibility of evolving to skill-based BOD membership (among other benefits).  Sometimes things can only change a step at a time.  Trying to go whole hog (reduction + skill-based) all at once would surely be dead on arrival.
