Slackware 13.0

Just installed Slack 13 on a test mule:

Some Thoughts. Nice distro, runs fast, has a bug in one package in the fonts
library.

KDE 4.2.4 is a fancy GUI, much along the lines of MAC OSX and Vista, but
way to much GUI for my taste. Also 4.2.4 stuff literally SUCKS. I like to
file browse in detail text mode, no previews or little "icons" stuck out
to the side. No way to do that in 4.2.4. GUI display refresh takes forever.
I can open the "DOLPHIN" (what the fsck?) file browser to a LARGE directory,
like, say /usr/bin, and then walk the dog, read the paper, and come back and
it's still freaking trying to paint those little icons out to the side.

This is not a slouch machine either : AMD XP 2.8 with 3GB ram and a Nvidia 6200
series AGP 8x card with 256MB ram and ide 133 hard drives.

Well, I guess I will be ripping put KDE 4.2.4 and putting 3.5.10 in some how.
