Yes, but what gcc version are you trying to use to build what version
of glibc?  IIRC, certain gcc versions are required to build certain
glibc versions and vice versa, so you may need to build intermediate
versions to bring this all the way up-to-date.

Can you not just install a fedora glibc and gcc then build special
from there if you need to?
