vnc/putty to vnc/ssh

Has anyone done port forwarding of vnc over ssh?  What's the easiest way to 
set it up for several newbies?

I'm trying to give some of our newer LUG members access to a Linux box prior 
to their own, first installation.  I thought using vnc and putty on the 
Windows side; and vnc and ssh on the Linux side might be the best way to 
handle this.
