interim user report: a major annoyance or two with nvu

well, i've played with nvu a little, written some things with it, and
it's pretty nice. but it has a couple of show-stopping flaws. one is no
ability to alter its behavior; for instance, the places with which i
work do not typically use <br> except when seeking to break a line in a
particular place; typically, a carriage return is the start of a new
paragraph, word-processor style.
second, and this one is a tremendous annoyance, it does not recognize
any of the (many and awful) clipboards that kde carries around. this is
unforgiveable, because pasting in the urls for links goes a long way
toward eliminating the kind of errors that having to type them in
introduces. i realize that this has long been a problem with
netscape/mozilla. still, after nearly a decade of it being an obvious
issue it really ought to be dealt with.
in response to the question here, it does handle forms, at least to some
extent, but i haven't played with this.
