On my Celery 1gHz/ATA66/384 MB box OO Writer takes 14 seconds to start
(no other apps running.)
Subsequent starts (after close) take 8-9 seconds. Starting OO Writer
(after an initial start and close) while Mozilla is running increases
start time to 12 seconds.
