Thanks, but.......
Oh my!.... Gotta confess.  I'm running RH7.3 with the old gPhoto2 that 
doesn't
have my Canon A40 in it.  RH8.0 does, but for some reason my CDROM RW 
doesn't work with it (old Pentium?) and I haven't upgraded my 7.3 with 
the 8.0 disk.  I used my Windoze partition to send it.  I apologize to 
all. Shame..shame..
