Yes, we have come a long way since Jimmy Carter's administration made
contractors change "manhole cover" to "person hole cover" in Federal
bids. I was also pleased to hear Jimmy Carter call Eric the Red a great
"Norse person."

In this same vein, there are recent reports that coed, he and she are
too limited for our society, failing to reflect the full gender identity
spectrum. People who use he/she in their writing to be politically
correct will have to reconsider this practice.

People have also complained about those symbols on the bathrooms showing
a women with a skirt. This offends some, since many women think that
skirts are demeaning. And, I suppose, Scotsmen might be confused, too. I
would think a picture of a naked woman on the door would be a culturally
neutral symbol, acceptable to all but the most traditional.

In a serious note, think how stupid these county employees are, or, think
how stupid the work environment of LA county is. They should publish the
resume of the person who issued this memo, and his/her/its supervisor.
