So maybe they should give each daemon a new job title, full employment status, 
and require a driver's license for each device they control.  I'm sure 
there's a system monitor application that can punch the clock for them.

...and doesn't the term "user" sound, well, usurious?

I'm really starting to feel very bad about all of this.
