it gets a bit thicker.  I can?t say much more than what I?m about to say
-- but I have a (former) inside source that tells me:

The Canopy Group is one entity
Caldera is another entity under the Canopy Group
SCO is yet another group, supposedly under the Caldera and the Canopy
Group, but seemingly with a mind (just not one with any intelligence) of
its own.
The name ?The SCO Group? being used currently isn?t official because it
hasn?t been blessed by anyone (especially the shareholders who have to
vote on this name change).

It gets a lot thicker than the above, but basically, neither the Canopy
Group nor Caldera benefit from the current ?SCO Group? suicide run.  Why
the brakes haven?t been applied yet, I don?t know.  But obviously
something is out of control.
