JavaScript and CGI: General questions

I disagree, making an interface simple is one thing, to hide the details of
what goes on from the great unwashed masses, is well, something else
altogether.
The automatic transmission is there to provide the human an easy means of
shifting gears, not to obscure the fact that gear shifting needs to be done.
MSIE's security slider is there to obscure what gets done. "don't you worry,
there, little user, just slide that there thingy to "Secure" and
everything'll be just fine... you can trust us, heck, we're Microsoft, we'll
protect you from that nasty ol' Innernet" Then, when you get into the details
of the settings, it's darn near impossible to figger out what the hell
setting does what. Yuck.
Disabling javascript in Mozilla, Opera, Netscape 4x, 6x, 7x and Konqueror is
fairly straightforward. With IE, well, it's not so simple it seems.

Tim
