Although, if you *can* play, upgrading to the next version's kernel is
not always bad. In fact, I've run from one to the other from one
version of SuSE to the next at times. Not that issues couldn't arise
(it seems they continue to attempt to do things better) but it's worth
a try if the box isn't 100% critical for uptime. With GRUB or LILO,
this is a simple change. (although unless you make a backup copy of
/lib/modules and /boot I might have a Knoppix disc available just in
case).
