Mark Luljak propounded (on Mon, Feb 21, 2011 at 01:33:56AM -0500):
| I think we need a new word...
|
| spext - 1. (noun) gratuitous mobile text messages sent for no apparent
| reason other than to send them See also: "spam"
| 2. (verb [past tense]) spexted - having sent spext
| 3. (noun) spexter - one who sends spext
| 4. (adjective) spextual - relating to spext (e.g. "a victim of
| spextual assault")
|
| Someone sent me 23 texts inside an hour after dinner the other night,
| -none- of them actually remotely necessary or conversational. It was
| either get supremely ticked, or laugh about it. I chose the latter. :)

In several on-line Forums that I follow for cell phones or other
equipment, someone asks a question, then someone else posts "please
answer the question because I have the same issue".
Would you classify that as spext?
