When asked his whereabouts on Mon, Feb 21, 2011 at 01:26:40PM -0500,
J. P. Radley took the fifth, drank it, and then slurred:

Depends on whether the reasonable time threshhold was reached. I've been
on forums for video processing software, where a problem has been stated, I
run into it a few weeks later, and the thread is dead. Bumping it is
perfectly legitimate then.

If someone does it 5min-4hrs after the original post, yeah, that's pushing
it.

If someone posts, "I'm having lunch and a beer at the pub," in the same
thread, when it was originally a technical question, that's cause for a
severe thumping with the LART, and is most assuredly spext.

It's bad enough spext is Twitter's primary content. Someone using -actual-
mobile to mobile text for this though, drives me nuts! I'm thankful it
goes to my email, and not my actual cell phone, where I have a 100
text/month quota before additional charges. (There's an unlimited text plan,
but my wife and I don't use texts enough to justify it until we hit 300/mo,
which has never happened. Only reason I'm keeping the unlimited data plan
for the phone is because it no longer exists for anyone that wasn't
grandfathered in. [AT&T]) I hate metered services. It's indicative of
outmoded thinking and profiteering.
