I think we need a new word...

spext - 1.  (noun)  gratuitous mobile text messages sent for no apparent
            reason other than to send them   See also:  "spam"
        2.  (verb [past tense]) spexted - having sent spext
        3.  (noun) spexter - one who sends spext
        4.  (adjective) spextual - relating to spext (e.g. "a victim of
            spextual assault")
 
Someone sent me 23 texts inside an hour after dinner the other night,
-none- of them actually remotely necessary or conversational.  It was
either get supremely ticked, or laugh about it.  I chose the latter.  :)
