Hmmmm.... If stair stepped output is the only problem you are having (from
your message that's the only I saw mentioned, so you may have others), why
not just use specify an output filter that will add the carriage returns?
If I'm missing something, sorry. I'm just was curious about your problems
seeing as I will be replacing several SCO and Linux servers with FreeBSD,
and will be doing the same things you are talking about. I've had no
problems at home with the setup, but it is not as complicated a network when
compared to work.
