That's what I *would* have expected when I started. Evidently their must be 
something different with a HP Laserjet with built in Postscript in the way it 
handles ascii text verses how it automatically worked with your HP DeskJet.

I just wanted to document it here for later retrieval for anyone else (or me in 
a few years!) seeing "stairstep" output from filePro on their LaserJet.

Not that it should make a hill of beans, I also am doing this on FreeBSD 5.4-RC3 
(which should be identical to 5.4-RELEASE when it's released).
