Walter,

I'm curious as to what problems you've run into in the above situation.  I
am currently printing from a Windows XP system to a HP DeskJet 832C attached
to my FreeBSD 5.3 box running Samba 3.0.X with the stock lpd.  I have had no
problems (other than the throttling issue discussed earlier).  I simply
added the printer to the printcap, refreshed Samba and that's was it.
