Strange Printcode table behavior

Using fP 5.0
SCO 5.0.5
Printwiz from Raumussen Software

Printwiz supplies a printcode table for filePro (printwiz.prt)

In Define Output, when one uses F5 to call up the list of print
codes, many codes have a '*' prefix and a '?' suffix. The
printcode table in Pinter Maintenance also contains the asterisk
and a reverse character at the end.
For example:
Line 10 of printcode table in printer maintenance shows:
              Sequence Description
 10 | ^Z</B> | * Emphasized On'rb'
'rb' stands for a reverse blank (a one character bright bar)

In the Print Code popup in Define Output, Option 10 shows:
 10 *Emphasized On?

I queried Rasmussen about the significance of the question mark
and the asterisk. He said that they are not part of his printcode
table and are being supplied by filePro, and suggested that I
inquire of this list.

Can anyone help ?

TIA
