And, it might make sense to develop a I/N game for Friday nights we don't
do the Homestyle Swiss...to get them interested in playing in a safe
environment....we can start with the folks who play in the limited game.
I spent 3 hours yesterday helping an 80 year old woman who used to play f2f
bridge at some of the community centers. She wanted to get onto BBO (we
did not succeed, a long story, basically because she does not have her
email set up and you need email for verification from BBO. Instead I set
her up on OKBridge for now.... But I know there are others 'out there'
like her, who need help either with the internet or bbo in some why.
Another 80 year old, A player btw, doens't know how to use BBO for a
postmortem. If she doesn't know, I bet there are a lot of others out there
who don't know how to take advantage of the various systems/tools/ out
there for us to use. It would pay to offer tutorials or webinars on these
topics, or run articles in the SUN.
