My two cents:
I don't think we should block EBC from participating in ACBL's Senior Pairs
event because of our sectional. It's not like we can offer the Senior
Pairs event at the sectional, and it has notable benefits to players that
they might be interested in.
I also don't think we should change our sectional plans because of this,
e.g., switching to a 2-day event. But we should acknowledge and recognize
that attendance may be depressed for that Friday daytime game vs. the norm
given the ACBL event on the same day. I don't think it will be devastating
as we have a decent number of players who will either prefer the sectional
setup or aren't eligible for senior pairs.
