[SBU Board] FW: Unit Approval Required

There's basically three ways this can go:

   1. We *are *able to confirm IUOE for Oct 16-18. (Best case scenario for
   the sectional)
   2. We *aren't* able to book IUOE for Oct 16-18 but are able to book
another dateset with them that we can work with.
   3. We *aren't* able to book IUOE for Oct 16-18 and need to find a new
   venue for those dates.

We have the option as a unit to block EBC (and any other club considered
nearby) from holding ACBL-wide events and/or special events during the
sectional when they are not part of the club's regularly scheduled
games. *Would
we want to exercise that option for this request for senior pairs during
the Friday of our fall sectional if the conflict remains (scenarios 1 & 3
above)? * I'd like the board to weigh in on this sooner rather than later
so that Monty, Ann, and I can move quickly to notify and work with
Paulette/EBC and the ACBL once we have a confident answer on the sectional
date/timing.

(Also, if the board decides that we wouldn't want to block the request
regardless, it becomes a moot point and we can respond to approve.)
