Hi all,
Just FYI for the board regarding recent email publicity for our NLM players:
- On Thursday & Friday (distributed scheduling), players on our
MailChimp unit-only list with 0-500 masterpoints and NLM status (649
recipients) got a special "intermediate/novice" events newsletter promoting
our Unit Newcomer game, Spring NLM sectional & flyer, and save the date for
the NLM Regional in the fall.
- As of this morning, that email has had a 40% open rate, which is on
par with our typical open rate for a SUN email distribution.
- This afternoon, via the ACBL's Pianola tool, I sent out an email blast
to NLM/0-500 players within a 100 mile radius of SBC (goes up to Surrey and
Victoria, goes down to Centralia/Chehalis) promoting the Spring NLM
sectional. The email was subdivided into two segments; the players with
0-20 masterpoints got a version that was more explanatory and included
information about the Unit Newcomer game whereas the 20-500 masterpoint
players got a more typical sectional announcement. *(And for my number
geeks, yes, I did set it where the ones right at 20 wouldn't get both :)
despite being less specific about the range in this note.)*
- The ACBL's tool doesn't provide us any metrics, but I did find it
interesting that within a 100 mile radius, we had 907 players reachable
with 0-20 masterpoints and 883 players with 20-500 masterpoints,
total 1790
players reached by that email (which includes players outside
our unit but
in our vicinity).
Let me know if you have any questions. :)
