[SBU Board] Look Ahead to October 10 Board Meeting

Ann,

The agenda for the Oct 10 board meeting will likely be packed, but please include the following items:

- I/N Regional  [If we are serious about this, we should discuss it and it would then be appropriate for me to address it at the Oct 29 D19 board meeting.  Perhaps Steve Kasner (the other current D19 Board Rep from U446) should be invited to stay following the D19 Board Rep election agenda item to participate in this topic.]

- Tournament Sites Committee  [An update would be timely, and the board should discuss and take a view on preferred dates for the 2019 Harvest Sectional in anticipation of Beverly advising us in the following weeks of dates of availability for the Bothell Union Hall classrooms]

- Appreciation of Sharon Erwin  [Sharon does so incredibly much for our unit — pre-duplicating boards, sharpening pencils, acquiring sectional attendance reports, tracking Microsoft and Jabon Trophy races points, helping with tear down, etc. --  while in return we grant her free plays that she is generally unable to use because she’s busy pre-duplicating boards for subsequent sessions or doing something else to help out.  I think we should do something additional for her.]

As a suggestion, you might consider the possibility of inviting the incoming board members, Tom, Lane and David, to sit in on this meeting (apart from discussion the board might have about the D19 Board Rep candidates) if they should wish to do so.
