I was also wondering whether his insurance would cover him if he is doing for hire work for us.  I hope he has that covered.

I am aware of no written agreement with David.

I think Tim has the best information about the history of our arrangement with David, as it pre-dated my service on the Board.  In a nutshell, we have paid him $300 plus tax for picking up the trailer and its contents, bringing it to the tournament, and taking it back afterwards.

 

Nor am I aware of any insurance coverage which would reimburse the Unit for loss or damage to the trailer or its contents.  There might be some benefit under David’s insurance on his truck; but I tend to doubt it.  I will ask David about this aspect of it.
