Thanks for chairing the enormously successful Penticton Regional.  3,524.5 tables -- up 305, the most ever in Penticton (breaking the 1990 record), and second only to Gatlinburg in regional attendance thus far in 2018 -- is amazing.  It was a great time.

Separately, recently there has been discussion within the D19 board regarding electronic device policy during bridge events.  I was pleased to see the emphasis on this during the Penticton Regional.

As I understand, at NABC San Diego last Fall, the ACBL BoD instituted the direction that electronic device policy in place for NABC events shall also apply to regional tournaments.  As I mentioned at Burnaby during our 2 April board meeting, there is an apparent gap in the flow down of the policy to Districts' GNT and NAP Finals.  The integrity of these events that qualify teams and pairs for national championships is no less important than regional tournament events.  As I said in Burnaby, I ask that you bring this policy gap forward so that it is addressed and resolved by the ACBL BoD in a timely manner.
