I'm aware of the risk...and maybe it isn't worth taking. BUT either Patti
or I should have the day of tournament phone active at least two weeks
before this event and be monitoring calls.
So...let's keep the same phone number that is on the flyer, and I approve
the flyer for May.
And fwiw, I got a call the other day on my cell from a newbie who wants to
play at Vasa, and was upset that there was no phone number other than the
"day of tournament" in order to talk to someone about the event. He, of
course, tried that number, and got nothing. He had some basic questions
("do we need to register? what time do we need to be there, etc." I
assured him he could email the co-chairs, or call me, if he had any
problems. He did't want to email, he wanted to talk to someone....
Anyway, Mr. McCarthy will be at Vasa on Saturday playing in his first
tournament.
