[SBU Board] Board Meeting Reminder - Monday, Oct 9

This is a reminder that we will be meeting Monday, October 9 at 6:45pm in the Mercer Island Library Large Conference Room, 4400 88th Ave SE, Mercer Island.

We have a lot of ground to cover.  Please come prepared to discuss the issues and finalize session start times for 2018 Sweetheart sectional.  We will review status of potential sites and consider our approach to 2018 Sun Tan sectional.

Please advise if, by the Sept 30 cutoff date, you were contacted by additional unit members declaring candidacy for the D19 board position and whether they will be present at Monday's meeting to interact with the board. 

Please review your December calendars as we will look ahead toward our annual holiday party, and please consider whether you might offer to host.

As time permits, I suggest we begin discussion of the ACBL's "Ten Big Ideas."  For this board meeting I've added "Redistribute Tournament Activity" to the agenda as its implementation could have profound effects on sectional tournaments, clubs and regionals.
