Steve, you do get it. And yes, I think there should never be a single
session swiss in conjunction with a two-session swiss event. I think we
were at fault by not trying to convince you and your team to play in the
single session pairs event, where you would receive full match awards for
your results. I'll let Jenni (the director) send an official explanation
to your team. Mind you there were three teams that bought single swiss
entries; two in the first session, one in the second session. All of the
single session teams were C strat. The one C team that played both
sessions earned the most imps for that strat (48) and won the strat.
We'll take this up with the unit board. I am personally resolved not to
offer single session swiss in conjunction with a two session swiss ever
again! What a nightmare!
