Everyone,

Please hang in there. There are vastly differing views on this matter (some quite passionate) -- and a myriad of potential concepts for a lunch plan.

It would be best to resolve this soon. I've been drafting en email to the board for this purpose. I'm presently in the midst of a GNT National Finals eligibility issue, and have granddaughter duties, but hope to get the note out soon.

Thanks,
Tim

FR kitchen staff will handle everything (yeah!). We know that parking at FR is a challenge in terms of doing it right, and any opportunity to move a car (say, to get lunch) may backfire on the car improperly parking when they come back from lunch. I say keep everyone on campus, and let's have FR do lunch for us. On the other hand, I would expect some to bring their lunch, how many, I have no idea.

While I understand that the unit is trying to stop providing lunch, I don't think Forest Ridge is a site where this is appropriate. Last time we were there the school catered a lunch for a reasonable price. Was this no longer available? Given the savings on rent there, even if the unit doesn't charge the players the full cost of lunch it should still come out ahead on the tournament.

If you aren't going to provide lunch, there should be a long break and possibly one less round of bridge.
>>>
>>> There is still plenty of time to fix this - new flyers could be printed for the KO Sectional and go out in the upcoming SUN. I hope that you will consider doing so.
>>>
>>> One minor point if you do make new flyers - the description of the IMP pairs isn't really correct. It implies that there is a field average that you compare to, but what you actually do is compare to every single other pair that holds your cards.
