[SBU Board] SNGB Grant Reset

Thank you for your candid comments and expressions of concern over the past few days.  It became clear that some of us are simply not at all comfortable with departure from the SNGB grant as approved during our February board meeting.  John W and I have been in communication during the day today.  John has also been in communication with Anne Farmer and Patti. 

We're back on track with the grant as approved by the board.  John will mail two $125 checks to Patti, who will fill in the names and on behalf of the Unit present them to the overall winning pair at the SNGB May 6 event.  Patti has also graciously agreed to look into novelty checks as was suggested.  As to the component of our grant related to subsidization of travel for a needy youngster, John made it clear to Anne that any request for assistance must be promptly submitted to Patti for review and consideration in consultation with Ann R as appropriate.  Apparently there is only one family that might request such assistance.  

Many thanks to John for your coordination.  Many thanks to Patti for taking on presentation of the grant on behalf of the Unit.  And thanks to all for your views and communications on this grant since it was first addressed during our March board meeting.
