[SBU Board] Call from Bev at Bothell

Bev Colgrove, our contact at IUOE 302, called me this morning to discuss last weekend's tournament and D19 GNT dates for next year.

Bev was very appreciative of how we handled the trash removal.  She said in the aftermath of our last tournament there, the trash problem was what caused her boss to come unglued and chew her out.  She said, however, that there were two issues from this weekend.  First, and most significantly, the building was left unlocked when we departed.  This is not good.  I listened, apologized, and committed to getting this feedback out to all our Board member immediately so that we can begin work on a process improvement to ensure this never happens again.  We can discuss how to fix this -- if we have been leaving it to Roberto to close/lock up, then in the future we should have a tourney chair or other board member stay until Roberto is done and verify the building is locked.  The other issue was that we left some No Parking signs and she asked that these all be removed.  I thanked her for the feedback, explained how our players love playing at her facility and that we will fix these new issues.

She and I then discussed process & prospective dates for 2016 D19 GNT Finals at Union Hall Classroom #3.

She was pleasant and congenial throughout the call.  Fixing the trash problem was absolutely critical.  (Note, gathering and hauling the trash away Sunday evening is a nasty job.  I would like not to have to do it every time.  I believe we have ~7 months before our next tourney at Bothell.  Let's see if we can get others to help with this task from time to time.)  We must fix the two new problems that emerged last weekend.
