I’ll miss the meeting and barometer because I’m  leaving for California on Sunday.  Sorry.

Almost everything I heard about Kent was positive. There was a concern about size of facility, but that can be addressed (and, realistically, we could have put in a few more tables had we needed to).  And the concern about chair shortage is easily addressable in the future.  That is just a matter of better planning/communication.   The overriding messages from the event were (a) the level of appreciation from our south-ender members, who felt recognized, (b) we learned that we can run tournaments in the south end that are financially successful and (c) there are comfortable facilities available in the south end (special thanks to the site-selection committee for all its work).

Remember that we are having a short meeting after the unit game Sunday evening at Eastside Bridge Center. There are three things we need to cover:

1. Coverage of responsibilities for the July tournament.
2. Postmortem of Kent tournament
3. Tournament committee report / discussion of 2016 sites.

Please review Tim and Mike's comments and John W's financial report from Kent prior to the meeting so we don't waste time rehashing information everyone already has.

Also if you are planning to attend the unit game, and you haven't done so please sign up today. Much of the board making is already done, but there is no way to accommodate non-signed-up players for this event without speculatively doing a lot of extra work.
