                                To improve financial security, there will be some changes to tournament processes beginning January 1, 2016. These adjustments primarily affect the responsibilities of tournament sponsors. 

                                Please note the following financial procedures:
                                1.. It will be the sponsor's responsibility to present a check at the end of the tournament to submit fees due to ACBL. The ACBL will not accept personal checks from TDs. For convenience, pre-paid envelopes have been provided to TDs. These are to be used for mailing the Office Financial Sheet, check, bridge bucks, memberships, etc. Please include the tournament sanction number on the check. 
                                2.. In order to sell entries, Sponsors must provide the cash "bank" for TDs at the beginning of the tournament. TDs are not to carry or provide cash for their bank. Prior to the tournament, the Sponsor is to contact the DIC to discuss how much "bank" is needed. 
                                3.. Sponsors need to establish a process for counting and making regular deposits. On a daily basis, sponsor's representative is to be assigned to receipt and deposit the funds received from the DIC.
