Hi Kurt: well, for what it's worth, I'm still here,

To get things going, maybe, any known solid combinations of current
laptops and Linux releases?  I have SuSE 13.1 on a thumbdrive.  None of
the local stores will let me boot up one of their displays to see if all
of the devices work.
