The List is Missed

  Hi All,

ssh'd into my home computer doing a do-release-upgrade from Ubuntu 10.04
to 10.10 took about 20minutes to get the 1400MB of files required. ADSL
is a lot better than the days of dialup :) Australia is supposed to be
getting a $43B fibre to the home network... But it's a long way off at
the moment (politics sigh).

It will be nice to be able to interface at LAN speeds with the big data
centres in the cloud.

I'm currently what we call ADSL2. Which the provider claims delivers up
to 20Mbps download speeds but I've only ever seen about about 1/10 of that.

What speed and media does everyone else run for internet?
