I have used t-bird for many versions, and it has always had the multiple 
smtp account option, which is at the bottom of the accounts list: Edit 
menu/Account Settings and scroll the left pane down to the 
bottom/Outgoing Server(smtp)/Add button. Each acount has a pull down 
menu in which you can choose the outgoing server.
