Ok - so I'll add my $.02.
I've always preferred KDE over gnome for many years, for lots of
reasons. And when I run gnome, I tend to run konsole & klipper at the
very least.
BUT, when I updated to FC9, a very broken KDE4 was forced down my throat
and it never worked properly (hence the use gnome with a few kde
goodies). I recently upgraded to FC10 both at home and work and find
this later KDE version much stabler.
Yes - the UI is a HUGE change. Which will definitely scare alot of
users away. For myself, I don't mind trying stuff out and when I
finally found what/where/how everything was (& how things work), I
actually like it better in many ways.
But getting it out was a very much botched job... IMHO they should have
switched to QT4.x with the KDE3.x look and feel and then gradually
enhanced the UI.
FWIW...
