KDE4

Folks,
OK, I don't know about you all, but I'm annoyed. Just WTFO is wrong
with all the world's programmers? Does something have to be different
to be better/improved? And even if they think it's better, why is it
rammed down a user's throat with a firehose?
This am, there were a bunch of upgrades on the plate. One apparently
was KDE. So here's KDE4. I really didn't pay attention, I don't even
use it. But my kids do. My wife does. In fact, everyone I know who
uses Linux uses KDE.
Wife logged in today and gave a huge, frustrated EUGGHH. "I just got
used to the this and now its changed AGAIN! Where's my web browser?
Where are my apps? Where's my little 'K' to open things? Where is
everything I know?"
So I have to spend 30 minutes to find everything and show the wife how
to use the computer all over again while I listen to her complain.
I wonder how many programmers did this to their wives and if they're
still married to them.
This has not been a good day.
Ciao,
David A. Bandel
