I have SLACK 12.1 and VMWARE 2.05 on 2 machines, both SATA based machines with
no problems on SATA drives on windows VM.
Not SURE how VB differs from VMware, but the Drives are reported as standard drives.
As we speak, am installing VB on 1 Dual Core Slack 12.2 Laptop and COULD
not in hell get Vmware to work (kernel version 2.6.27.7). After install libcap
Vbox has install without a hitch and am now installing Windows Xp SP2 on it.
As far As I know the laptop has a SATA drive in it.
Guess I post further when i get done ...
