First up, the portion of the email you mention was a quote from the user 
manual, not my observation. secondly I do have XP SP3 running but what I
am referring to is on an openSUSE 11.1 host not windows. So to be exact
I am running all SATA drives on both OS's and would have to look at what ios 
selected in bios.
