Creating an ASP Server.

My best friend just contacted me. He a successful seller of MediSoft
medical software that runs under windows.

He is willing to foot the bill to create a ASP that can serve this application
and is willing to use LINUX to host the application.

he does not want to go the high dollar Citrix/Zen/MS terminal services route.

Any suggestion on where/how to get started and on what/which software to use?
