KDE4 on SUSE 11 is, well, KDE4. Not a SUSE situation. openSUSE uses KDE3
as the preferred desktop over KDE4. They included KDE4 as more of a
teaser to show what it is up to. They even tell this in the place you
can choose the default desktop in the install.

Does Fedora/KUbuntu have a more developed KDE4 than KDE themselves?

The discussions on the SUSE group are mainly saying that SUSE should
have simply left KDE4 out as it is not really ready for prime time. In
SUSE's defense, KDE3 is still the desktop they suggest you use. KDE4 is
a technology preview.

I will have to have a look. I installed a few OSs on my iMac this past
weekend (vBox). Just to keep abreast of what is going on. I will add
Fedora 9. Am I missing something, or is openSolaris a mystery. It is
just a GNOME desktop. I am guessing all the interesting bits are under
the hood. If they are anywhere.

And remember:

It is RSofT and there is always something under construction.
It is like talking about large city with all constructions finished.
Not impossible, but very unlikely.
