Gee I hate to show my general ignorance. I do not know if it is  
hyperthreading or VT (or even if
those are not a similar name for the same technology) that is  
required. All I DO know is that
there is some feature of newer processors (all being newer than any I  
have) that Xen may
require if it is not to require a special compiled OS. VB and VMware  
are different technology
that do not have this requirement.

Another VBox plus: it is free for the Mac. VMware Fusion and Parallels  
must be
purchased.
