IDE is legacy hardware, whether or not you like it.  No major mobo
manufacturer is going to have any IDE support within 5 years.
Everything is moving to SATA.   Also, PS/2 ports will start
disappearing in the next few years as well.

Decide which chipset(s) you want (or do not want), then look at the
brands that match up with your criteria.
