I have an EeePC that I bought a few months ago and, while it probably boots a 
little slower than my desktop, it's not painfully slow. (Still boots faster 
than Windows. ;-) I notice it less when I'm booting than when I'm working, 
but it's hard to tell whether that's the slow processor or the SSD.
