I'm using an Asus A8N and I have to say that it is, far and away, the
best laptop I have ever used -- even better than the IBM Thinkpad I
spent a small fortune on years ago. It's served me very well for 3 years
and the performance is still very satisfactory. The great thing about
Asus systems is that they use quality components that work with both
Linux and Windows: no need to compile drivers and such.
My next laptop is probably going to be another Asus, but I don't really
like the design of recent models, so I'll wait a bit.
Hope this helps!
