couple of problems

1. trying to get gnome-sound-recorder to find mt microphone. I'm using
an old Ensoniq audio PCI wavetable sound card. When I start it with
either the drop-down menu under Applications or from a command line I
get a box that says, "Your audio capture settings are invalid. Please
correct them in the Multimedia Settings". I don't see or can't find
Multimedia Settings.

2. I've been using a Best Data USB modem for a while. It's supposed to
take incoming calls while online. HaHaHa. Anybody have a script or
program that might make that happen? The BestData ad says they support
Linux, Bah Humbug!

Any help you wizards can supply I'll be forever grateful.
Thanks,
Bob
