Actually, 1.2.13 will run against 8.3.0 (I know, I'm one of the folks
banging on it).  Problem came when PostgreSQL removed implicit type
casts.  They´re not difficult to fix if you come across one -- it
basically requires you to "cast * as [int|float|whatever]".

Anywho -- I use it -- 1.2.13 against 8.3.0.
